£40m Star Targeted by Aston Villa

Aston Villa are hoping to bring Tammy Abraham back to the club this summer, despite interest from several top European clubs. The former Villa loanee has been impressing in Serie A with AS Roma, but it seems a move back to the Premier League could be on the horizon.

Reports suggest that Villa are confident they can win the race for Abraham’s signature, but they will need to break their transfer record and fork out at least £40m to secure the deal. However, with the Villans pushing for a place in European competition next season, Abraham could be the key to taking them to the next level.

The London-born striker has scored an impressive 27 goals in all competitions for Roma last season and has also proven himself in the Premier League with 15 goals for Chelsea in the 2019-20 season. Although he hasn’t replicated those performances this season, he has still shown his worth by scoring two goals in his last three games.

With Villa searching for a partner for Ollie Watkins, who has been a standout performer for them this season, signing Abraham could be the perfect solution. He has also scored the second-highest number of Europa Conference League goals last season, which could be crucial if Villa manage to qualify for Europe.

However, they may face competition from the likes of Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, all of whom are reportedly interested in Abraham. But if Villa are serious about competing with the big boys next season, signing the talented striker could be the signing they need to make.
