Willy Gnonto: The £65k-p/w Winger Leeds Should Start

Leeds United face a crucial Premier League clash against fellow strugglers Leicester City tonight at Elland Road. Presenter and YouTuber Conor McGilligan has urged Leeds to unleash the attacking prowess of Wilfried Gnonto and Luis Sinisterra in the starting line-up. Speaking on the One Leeds Fan Channel, he stressed that omitting Gnonto from the line-up would be akin to Man City not selecting Erling Haaland, Arsenal leaving out Bukayo Saka, and Liverpool benching Mo Salah. Similarly, he believes that Sinisterra is the best pick of the bunch technically.

Leeds’ opponents, Leicester, could be boosted by the return of key players, James Maddison, Harvey Barnes, and Jamie Vardy. However, with only Jack Harrison boasting a better average match rating than Gnonto and Sinisterra among Leeds’ wingers this season, it is clear that they could add firepower to the Whites’ attack.

Manager Javi Gracia may consider a more attacking line-up, given the absence of defenders Liam Cooper and Max Wober. However, the stakes are high, with both teams just above the relegation zone. Only time will tell if Gracia heeds McGilligan’s advice and trusts both wingers in such a crucial game.
