Tottenham to Make a Move for £12,000 per Week Star in the Upcoming Summer Season

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing up a move for Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka. The 23-year-old Frenchman has impressed in the Bundesliga since joining from AJ Auxerre in 2018, and is seen as a potential solution to Spurs’ defensive woes. The Lilywhites have struggled at the back this season, conceding 34 goals in 25 Premier League games, and it seems they are ready to address the issue in the summer transfer window.

Ndicka’s contract at Frankfurt expires this summer, meaning he could be available on a free transfer. This would be an appealing prospect for Spurs, who are said to be keen to avoid overspending in the current financial climate. The Paris-born centre-back has been linked with a number of top clubs, including Liverpool, but it seems Tottenham are leading the race for his signature.

The defender’s stats suggest he could be a shrewd acquisition for Spurs. Ndicka has averaged more blocks, interceptions and aerials won per 90 minutes than Barcelona loanee Clement Lenglet over the past year. He is also solid in possession and has been praised for his technical ability. Former Frankfurt sporting director Fredi Bovic described Ndicka as “technically gifted”, which will no doubt be music to the ears of Spurs boss Jose Mourinho.

Of course, there are other potential targets for Tottenham in the summer transfer market. Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi and Manchester City’s Aymeric Laporte have also been linked with moves to the north London club. However, Ndicka appears to be a strong contender, given his impressive performances in Germany and the fact that he would be available at a relatively low cost.

Tottenham are yet to make an official offer for Ndicka, but it seems likely that they will do so in the coming weeks. The Frenchman would bring much-needed solidity to their defence, and could prove to be a key player for the club in the years to come. With Spurs looking to push on next season and challenge for a top-four spot, adding a talented young defender like Ndicka could be a smart move.
