West Bromwich Albion’s problems were well-documented during Steve Bruce’s unfortunate stint at the club. However, the former manager can take credit for signing Jayson Molumby, who has quickly established himself as a key player for the club.
The Republic of Ireland international joined from Brighton and Hove Albion last summer for a modest fee of £900k. Since then, he has become a mainstay in the Baggies’ midfield and has even notched up six goal contributions this season.
Molumby’s impressive performances have resulted in a significant increase in his Transfer Value, which now stands at £3.3m, up by 267% in just six months. With the 23-year-old’s youth and talent, it’s easy to envision his value rising even further.
Gary Rowett, Molumby’s former manager at Millwall, has been vocal in his praise for the midfielder, calling him “feisty” and “tough”. And with Carlos Corberan at the helm now, West Brom are surely destined for a Premier League return, which would only increase Molumby’s worth.
All in all, the future looks bright for both West Brom and Molumby. As the club aims for Championship promotion, the midfielder will undoubtedly continue to mature and grow alongside them.
