Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak has left goalkeeper Nick Pope awestruck after a single training session with the team.
The Magpies remain in contention for a top-four finish this season, having conceded a league-best 24 goals so far.
Isak, who returned from injury not too long ago, has already scored eight goals in under 906 minutes of action. This places him among the Premier League’s most productive strikers, alongside names such as Erling Haaland.
However, it remains to be seen whether the £63m acquisition has earned a starting spot in Eddie Howe’s XI. His absence resulted in Callum Wilson’s two-goal performance against West Ham United.
Regardless, the competition between the two strikers may push them to achieve greater things together.
